Disabled Americans Want Work Now is a grassroots group of people with disabilities, who advocate for the Human Right to Work. DAWWN provides a VOICE for all people with disabilities interested in improving access to good paying jobs, job training and broader social justice. There are many laws assuring your right to equal access and opportunities to employment. Under laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) you may have the right to not be discriminated against, right to exercising your rights without being fire, right to request reasonable accommodation.
Reasonable Accommodation is any change or adjustment to a job, the work environment, or the way things are usually done that would allow you to apply for a job, perform job duties, or enjoy equal access to benefits.
