|About||At Distinctive Woodwork, we create beautiful furniture to live up to the 'Distinctive' name.|
At Distinctive Woodwork we create beautiful furniture to live up to the ‘Distinctive’ name.
We start by selecting all of our timber carefully from managed resources with the best of European Oak and American Walnut delivered to our Surrey workshop.
We use a mixture of traditional joinery methods and modern woodworking tools to create the perfect strong and true joints.
From the mortice and Tennon joints on our solid framed cabinets to the beauty and strength of the dovetail joints used on our drawers, there really is no compromise on style or quality.
We work directly with clients and also directly with designers, architects and builders.
When needed, we can build and install furniture to specifications of other designers as well.
We start the process with a visit to your home to understand the space, your desires and your needs.
We will put together a presentation design in 3D render to ensure no detail is missed. We believe that a good design is a collaboration between yourself and our designers. By working together, we can design and make furniture tailored to you and your family’s needs.
Once the design is finalised we can start making the project. This starts by planning and sizing the hardwoods to be used for the face frames, doors, dovetail drawers and any other bespoke features to be included.
The talented cabinet makers make every piece especially for each project undertaken.
Our instillation team will take great care to protect your home and furniture during instillation. They are able to keep dust to an absolute minimum by using the top of the range tool and vaccum systems specifically designed for furniture instillation.
Our installers are truly talented people, detail oriented and will not stop until your furniture is instated in your home perfectly.
Our painted furniture is hand painted ‘in situ’ after instillation by specialist hand finishers.
