DOLCE is a brand new independant business launched in 2017 and founded by Serena De Filippis. It is both the result of an inborn passion for baking and a challenge and a desire to get back in the game.
Serena is a young woman born and raised in Naples, a beautiful city in the south of Italy. She was a criminal lawyer but a year ago she decided to make a big change in her life: she quit her job in Rome and decided to move to London, an ecletic and multicultaral city where it is always possible to reinvent yourself.
Once in London, she decided to hang up the black gown to the wall and don the apron, with the goal to indulge her strong baking passion and make it more professional. That's why she went to Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in London, to improve herself to the very best level (she will get her Diplome de Patisserie in December).
After that, she just felt like she was following her destiny and her dream and she created DOLCE with one ambition: to bring the Italian traditional Patisserie in London.
DOLCE is committed to produce the finest quality gourmet Italian sweets and to bring to customers the best handmade treats that will for sure turn special moments into unforgettable experiences.
All the cakes, cookies and pastries that DOLCE produces are the result of memories of Serena's childhood, family traditions handed down from generations, precious inherited recipes and her personal interpretations of them combined with her fantasy.
DOLCE focuses on classic Italian recipes, with a modern young eye. All the cakes, tarts and cookies are baked using fresh, organic and natural ingredients, from scratch, by hand.
Every treat is unique and finished to the highest standard with a taste that matches the original and authentical Italian one.
