DTU Fotonik is a part of Technical University of Denmark. It was established in 2008 by merging COM•DTU, (department of Communications, Optics & Materials), and three research groups at Risø, the National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy.
About 190 researchers are employed at DTU Fotonik, including about 80 PhD students.
