What does the DW Akademie do in Africa?
Our work in Africa engages with journalists and partners across a wide range of media including radio, TV, online, mobile and film. One of the priorities of the DW Akademie in Africa is to support and strengthen independent media in post-conflict countries and countries in transition. We are for example implementing long-term media development projects in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. We work with a broad spectrum of local and national broadcasters, as well as regional and international development partners.
