鋦瓷在中國已有超過千年歷史,相傳是始於宋代的民間工藝,《清明上河圖》上便有瓷匠鋦瓷的身影。古時瓷器較昂貴,不論是達官貴人或平民家,瓷器破裂都靠瓷匠修補重用,可惜近代人富裕,瓷器也變得唾手可得,破裂買新便可,因此鋦瓷技術幾近失傳。直至2007年,鋦瓷入選市級非物質文化遺產,經過傳媒爭相報道,才重回尋常百姓家視線。同時吸引不少人學習這傳統工藝。

鋦瓷不需黏合劑就可以修復破損的瓷器,之後還可以耐受熱食的冷縮熱脹,為器物重新賦予生命,是修復,是裝飾,亦是藝術再創作。

活動將會以<縫補生命 修復藝術>的角度分享用鋦瓷的手法修復瓷器的價值,作品導賞,及現場示範鋦瓷技巧。 歡迎參與者帶同破損的瓷器,作討論課題。

Ju china (鋦瓷) is an ancient Chinese ceramics mending and decorating method. Beyond the virtues of thrift and ingenuity, Ju china has been recognized as intangible cultural heritage also for its long lineage of artistic mastery that helps define humanity.

It is believed this practice was believed to be originated from the Song Dynasty. The ju craftsman painted in the Qing Ming Shang He Tu in Song Dynasty is considered as a proof the long history.

By the use of a special bronze alloy, simple tools, excellent craftsmanship, a broken object can be restored to the original function, with the ability to withstand the expansion and contraction of temperature.
