Much more than a vegan catering service, The Vegetable Butcher has a food revolution in mind. They are passionate about spreading positive eating habits while educating their guests on the misconceptions surrounding plant-based cuisine, nutrition, and big agriculture. Society today has a major disconnect from the food that we eat and its potentially harmful effects on our health. This disconnection along with the widespread misinformation of dietary nutrition leaves so many of us jumping from one dietary trend to another all the while missing the big picture. The Vegetable Butcher aims to arm the public with the abilities to shop mindfully, cook with their senses instead of recipes, understand food as a science in order to prepare nutritious and satisfying meals, and provide an insight on modern style food preparation to recreate familiar flavors and textures associated with classic cuisine.
Covered topics will include:
Plant-based Education, Transitional Foods, Shopping Tips, Big Agriculture, Modernist Cuisine, Modern Nutrition, Freestyle Cooking vs. Recipes, Food as Art, and the Science of Taste
