We welcome to our stage Morgantown West Virginia based Terry Schnell and his partner Steve Paris! Terry is a long-time folk and Americana artist who is a regular on the Morgantown coffeehouse and restaurant scene. His partner Steve Paris is a master keyboard player and singer and together, they have a great sound and are sure to bring some classic songs you’ll know and maybe a few that you haven’t heard before. Terry hails from Joliet, Illinois where he and opener Bob Schmucker attended high school and graduated together in 1975! This will be the first time they’ve been on the same stage together since 1975 and it promises to be a sweet reunion! Check Terry out at https://www.facebook.com/terryschnellmusic/.
As noted above, opening for Terry & Steve will be own refugee from the frozen north, Bob Schmucker. Bob brings his own brand of Chicago and Texas inspired folk and Americana music including tails of adventures in the Roanoke County Jail, heartfelt ballads and nature appreciation songs all from his unique and somewhat imaginative perspective. You may even hear a tall tale or two, a few bad jokes or other minor disturbances on and off stage as Bob engages the crowd!
Now in our 31st year, 3rd Street Coffeehouse is a non-profit listening room run by volunteers and never has a cover charge. We are alcohol free and smoke free and feature fresh bakery from Evie’s Wildflour Restaurant and Bakery in Roanoke with a great selection of regular and flavored coffees, teas and cold drinks. We are located in the basement of the historic Trinity United Methodist Church and our door faces Mountain Avenue. We pass the hat for our performers and 100% of the money collected goes to the performers. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
