Celebrate with us - it's SPRING! Plants are sprouting, winds are softening, and we're enjoying warmer days.

This year the 2018 vernal equinox comes on March 20 at 12:15pm, but we are celebrating early!! This is going to be a powerful practice with very powerful energetic shifts for our personal and collective transformations. Come and celebrate this super special event with us!

The 108 sun salutations will be led by Ginny Loving, along with some of our teachers in training, who will mix it up and make it fun!
Welcome the Spring!

108 Sun Salutations! it's FUN and not as crazy as it sounds! Embrace the power of 'Yes I can' and 'If I skip a few (dozen!), that's OK!'
Why 108? Here are few reasons:

108 beads on a mala. It is said that there are 108 main nadis transporting prana (life force) from the heart to all the extremities and when you recite a mantra 108 times you have purified your body.
In Ayurveda they talk of 108 Marmas; vital points in our body where muscles, bones, joints, arteries and nerves meet creating the vital flow of life.
Sanskrit alphabet: There are 54 letters in the Sanskrit alphabet. Each has masculine and feminine, shiva and shakti. 54 times 2 is 108.
Time: Some say there are 108 feelings, with 36 related to the past, 36 related to the present, and 36 related to the future.
Astrology: There are 12 constellations, and 9 arc segments called namshas or chandrakalas. 9 times 12 equals 108. Chandra is moon, and kalas are the divisions within a whole.
Planets and Houses: In astrology, there are 12 houses and 9 planets. 12 times 9 equals 108.
Sun and Earth: The diameter of the sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth.
Moon and Earth: The average distance of the Moon from the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Moon.
