Did you know that Belly Dancing for pregnancy and labor was actually started centuries ago? There are several different types of belly dance but most of them, including this class, involve doing slow, undulating and rolling motions, such as hip circles and figure-of-eight movements. Many natural labor movements are similar to the circular motions similar to belly dance. It's a natural way to get your baby in the best position for birth.
This 60-minute special event focuses on strengthening pelvic and deep abdominal muscles and all those muscles specifically used for giving birth, thus facilitating the process of birth and of recovery. It helps to relieve pregnancy back pain and improves abdominal control and awareness. Let’s not forget it’s a fun way to get some exercise and meet new friends!
