Viva la Sirena Fashion show at Museo de las Americas will feature style as resistance with local designers Alejandra Peralta, Cha Cha Romero, and Xencs L. Wing! Their wearable collections influenced by the Pachuca of the 1940's. The event will be at Museo de las Americas at 861 Santa Fe Drive on April 19 from 6-9 pm.

The Pachuca has been recognized for her rebellious and sensual flair that broke the boundaries of beauty among American women. Pachucas boldly rejected the "domesticated woman" stereotype by the way they dressed, styled their hair, and make-up. Peralta's collection brings a modern twist that plays with the masculine and feminine archetypes of the Pachuco legacy. Alongside her will be Fashion Week's award-winning make-up artist Cha Cha Romero and jewelry by Xencs L. Wing.
