Do you like to garden? The AC Hunter Library has an exciting FREE resource for you: The St. John's Seed Library! We're launching it on April 18th from 7:00-8:30 pm on the 3rd floor of the Library and you are invited!

A seed library is a collection of vegetable, herb and flower seeds that members can check out and take home. They can grow the seeds in their garden, and enjoy the bloom and bounty! When the plants set seed, some seed is returned to the library for others to grow next year.

The St. John's Seed Library is a collection of seeds and resources for home gardeners located on the third floor of the A.C. Hunter Library. Members can borrow seeds, then practice growing and saving to be able to return part of their crop to the library.

The seed collection will be available during regular operating hours at the AC Hunter Library from the launch day (April 18th) until July (or whenever the seed stock runs out).

NOTE: Anyone wishing to borrow seeds must have a valid library card and fill out a short membership form.
