"The Abbot Public Library: Celebrating 140 years of Service to the Marblehead Community" is an Illustrated Talk by Dan Dixey, as well as the Public Reception for the exhibit featuring images from Dan's collection. The exhibit will be on view in the Virginia A. Carten Gallery from Wednesday, April 4th, through Sunday, April 29th.

Dan's presentation will feature images processed from the original glass negatives and will cover various subjects around Marblehead. It also will include a video presenting a series of veteran photos to the tune of "Marblehead Forever," and a segment of "now and then" scenes around Town with background music.

Dan Dixey is a 12th-generation Marbleheader, born at the Mary Alley Hospital. A direct descendant of Thomas Dixey, who ran the ferry from Marblehead to Salem, beginning in 1644, Dan has collected well over 3000 images, books, documents and other Marblehead memorabilia over the last 30+ years.
