NOLEN WATERFRONT: WORKING TOGETHER TO EXPAND LAW PARK AND CONNECT THE DOWNTOWN TO LAKE MONONA
:: A VISION FOR OUR TIME ::
Join us for this exclusive event as part of YPWeek Madison to get to know the Nolen Waterfront.
In 2017, the Madison Design Professionals Workgroup unveiled their transformative Nolen Waterfront vision to connect the downtown to the lake, expand Law Park and enhance the Lake Monona waterfront between Monona Terrace and Blair Street. The City of Madison is about to embark on a multi-generational, collaborative community engagement process to master plan for Law Park.
You are invited to join members of the Madison Design Professionals Workgroup and Eric Knepp, Superintendent of the City of Madison Division of Parks, to view three design concepts that illustrate possible ways to expand and enhance Law Park and learn about the upcoming Law Park master planning process. You will also learn how you can get involved in this important planning process and how your support is critical to moving the Nolen Waterfront vision forward.

WHAT IS THE NOLEN WATERFRONT?
The Nolen Waterfront is an exciting vision to transform Madison’s premier lakefront into a beautiful, activity-rich signature park that will provide a welcoming destination for all Madison residents and visitors, connect Downtown Madison to Lake Monona, increase access to the lake, improve Lake Monona's water quality and aquatic habitat, and celebrate Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural legacy. You can view the Madison Design Professionals design concepts for the Nolen Waterfront at the James Watrous Gallery in Overture Center for the Arts. They are currently on display until April 15 as part of Future Possible: Imagining Madison exhibit.
