The Acadiana Park Nature Station will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a host of activities in conjunction with Community Development week, April 2-6. The Nature Station will hold events throughout the week with the Young Naturalist and the Acadiana Master Naturalist programs. Activities include a nature walk, birding walk, butterfly walk and a hike, each on successive days to celebrate the Nature Station’s 40th anniversary.

MONDAY – All ages are welcome for these talks although each talk is geared towards specific age groups.
• 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. - Junior Young Naturalist Club talk on Louisiana Swamps Plants and Animals, geared towards 7-9 year olds.
• 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon – Young Naturalist Club talk on Insects, Amphibians, and Wildflowers at the Nature Station, geared towards 10-13 year olds.
• 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Acadiana Master Naturalist talk on birds and birding geared towards adults.
