Nili Gold, professor of Modern Hebrew Language and Literature at the University of Pennsylvania, offers an intimate journey through Haifa, her native city, during its heyday in the 1920s and ’30s through the 1948 war, and the city’s subsequent decline. A light Israeli dinner will be served, prepared by the Food in Jewish Culture group. Donations are welcome. Dinner followed by lecture and discussion.
