As a way of celebrating sustainability and local foods, the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)/Lincoln Center is hosting an Earth Day Celebration on Monday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. This free event will be open to the public. It will include educational speakers, tips on home gardening, a vegetable plant giveaway, exciting ADRC announcements and a farmer recognition.
Representative Shankland, Mayor Mike Wiza and community partners will be present to celebrate the Senior Nutrition Program’s local food initiatives. A meal featuring local produce will follow at noon. The cost for people age 60 years and over is by donation (suggested donation $3.50); $7.75 for those under 60.
