No presents can be found before then!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Shakespeare! It's time for our second annual Birthday Scavenger Hunt!

In celebration of Shakespeare’s birthday weekend, Ohio Shakespeare Festival has hidden 10 birthday presents in local businesses around the city of Akron. The rules are simple: follow the clues to find the present, and you get to keep it! See rules below.

Each present is different, so you can try to find more than one. All presents ALSO contain one free ticket to an Ohio Shakespeare Festival show!

We will release the first clue on Friday, April 20th at 1pm, another at 3pm, and the next at 6pm. On Saturday, April 21st, clues will be posted at 11am, 1pm, 5pm, and 7pm. On Sunday, April 22nd, you can begin searching at 12pm, 1:15pm, and 2:30pm.

Make sure you "like" or FB, instagram, and twitter pages--you never know which platform we'll post the clue to first!

Happy scavenging! #ohioshakes #BardAboutTown18

Step one: follow us on FB (https://www.facebook.com/ohioshakespeare)
and instagram

We will release clues indicating where the present is hidden. Often, the clues relate directly to the business's name.

Once you find one of Shakespeare’s birthday presents, it’s yours to keep!

When you find your present, ***post a picture of your prize on Facebook, tagging the business where you found it using the hashtag #BardAboutTown18.***

The presents are all located indoors.

The presents are all hidden in beloved Akron businesses/venues.
If you think you’ve found the right business, you may politely search the common areas, but you can also ask an employee to point you in the right direction.

There are a total of 10 presents hidden throughout the city—they are all different, and they all relate directly to the titles in our 2018-19 season!

Remember: we love Akron people because they are so respectful of their city—treat every business like you were in a friend’s home, because you are!
