At first we thought it couldn’t be done; a stoner action flick sounded like a big dopey oxymoron. We imagined epic scenes of a hefty slob battling gravity for the remote and assumed the worst. But when we looked at the cast (a perfect triumvirate of James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Danny McBride all at peaks of their careers) and the crew (David Gordon Green directing, script by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, produced by Judd Apatow) we had a glimmer of hope.
That hope was bitch-slapped when we saw this brilliant and brutal movie. The weed-comedy elements are perfect. And the over-the-top violence pairs with it better than Cheetos and fruit loops in chocolate milk. This is not only a must-see flick, it also gets better with repeat viewings; trust us, you missed some things when you watched it for the first time.
