The Dogs Trust team will be in your area to offer FREE health checks and advice on responsible dog ownership as a part of our Community Events programme!
At our Community Events, a veterinary nurse will carry out a basic health check, which includes checking eyes, ears, teeth and weight, to make sure your dog is happy, fit and healthy.
The team offer free on-the-spot microchipping for dogs that aren’t yet chipped (microchipping is a legal requirement as of April 2016). We can also advise you about changing your microchip details should it be needed.
£35 neutering vouchers are available to those dog owners living in London Boroughs and are in receipt of means tested benefits (Income Support; Jobseeker’s Allowance; ESA, Child Tax Credit; Working Tax Credit; Housing Benefit; Council Tax reduction/ Council Tax support; Universal Credit Pension Credit) AND have one of the breeds of dogs listed below:
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Jack Russell Terrier
Crossbreeds where the primary breed is identifiable as one of those listed are also eligible.
To be issued a voucher, you and your dog MUST attend this event and bring proof of benefit along with you.
No appointment is required. We operate on a drop in basis so be sure to come along with your dog and say hello, but please keep your dog on a lead when attending our Community Events.
All breeds of dogs are welcome at our Community Events, whether a pup or an adult, however Dogs Trust will not chip active hunting hounds or litters of puppies. We ask that puppies under 6 months old are fully vaccinated and proof of vaccinations are brought along to the event. If your puppy has recently been vaccinated, they must be carried for the 10 days following their final vaccination. Dogs over 6 months old do not require proof of vaccination.
