A strong stage presence, spectacular harmonies and beautiful songs. This collaboration between The Lasses (Amsterdam) and Kathryn Claire (Portland, Oregon) is guaranteed to mesmerize you. With the vocals at center stage, this dynamic trio shares songs from the Celtic and American traditions along with their own original music. Their three-part harmonies are complemented by skillful arrangements on violin, bodhrán and guitar.

Three years ago, Kathryn Claire met Margot Merah and Sophie Janna (The Lasses) in an Irish pub in Amsterdam. The three women connected instantly and decided to tour together. At first they approached their shows as two separate acts, but in a short amount of time found themselves singing and playing on each other's songs with harmonies, percussion and violin. As their music and collaboration evolved they found they had created a unique and strong sound as a trio. Three years in, the women have toured all across Europe and the States and released a highly praised album, recorded live at De Parel van Zuilen in The Netherlands: "a treat for the audience" (Irish Music Magazine), "a pearl in the crown of folk music" (OOR), "sublime" (fRoots).

Portland-based songwriter Malachi Graham writes lush, intimate Americana inspired by complicated women. It’s no wonder— as the descendant of five generations of formidable, tale-telling Portland women stretching back to the Oregon Trail, Malachi learned early that great stories come from unreliable narrators and that the strongest characters are often the most flawed. Malachi draws on history, poetry, and cinema in character-rich narratives, her forceful and nuanced electric guitar and vocals working tightly together to tell strikingly sincere stories.
