9 WEEK SUMMER RUNNING AND STRENGTH TRAINING PROGRAM
This is a summer running and strength training program designed for rising 9th graders through 12th graders who are interested in competing in cross country at the high school level. This program will build a strong foundation with running mechanics and good form. Athletes will build a strong base in miles with individualized mileage programs designed for each athlete. Athletes will also learn proper core and strength training techniques to improve running efficiency, performance and injury prevention. Athletes will build relationships and team comradery which they will carry over into their season. Program will also seek to educate runners on the sport of cross country and distance running and promote a lifelong love for running.
