Pain Free and Healthy Hips, Knees and Feet – A Somatic Movement Workshop

Our hips, knees and feet all need to connect well to coordinate movement. When something goes wrong in one of these areas, our overall movement is compromised. This workshop will offer Somatic Movement and Feldenkrais sequences to help rehabilitate movement in your lower half so you can feel more comfort and ease in all kinds of day-to-day, Yoga and athletic movements !
This 2hr workshop is led by Deirdre Mullins Somatic Exercise Coach, Clinical Somatic Educator and experienced Yoga teacher. She is passionate about sharing Somatic body-mind awareness practices which improve mobility, stability and function while also helping to relieve stress so we can experience life to the full.
In this 'Pain Free and Healthy Hips, Knees and Feet' Somatic Workshop you’ll learn how to better sense and coordinate the deep muscles of your abdomen and back with the muscles of your legs and hips. As you learn to understand the relationship between your feet, knees and hips, tight hamstrings and lower back pain will release, your hip joints will free up and your pelvis will become more stable. The exercises will improve your balance, posture and help you to move with ease. Leave the workshop with less pain and tension, feeling relaxed in your body and mind.
Suitable for all ages and abilities.
No experience necessary, all are welcome.
WHAT YOU NEED :
Yoga mats are provided but feel free to bring your own. Bring a bottle of water if you need it.
