March for Our Lives
April 23, 2018 1:00 pm
Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress, Stacey Brown, and her three teenaged daughters attended the March for Our Lives in Washington DC. They will be offering a slideshow and presentation to discuss their experience of the event.
Stacey's daughter, Sarah, is the one who has been writing the names of the victims of mass shootings on the sidewalks in chalk. The name of the project is "Collateral Damage" and has been covered in the news. She contacted the program director of the Washington National Cathedral who gave her permission to do the project in front of the cathedral on the Friday before the student march. It was very powerful... teenagers who were touring the cathedral helped her. So, there were 679 names of the victims in front of the cathedral as people arrived for the 6:00 pm vigil that was held.
