According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration more than 3,400 people were killed and over 390,000 were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving distracted drivers in 2015. Distracted driving is anything that takes someone’s attention away from safely driving. This includes talking on the phone, texting, eating or drinking, fiddling with the radio or navigation system, and talkative passengers.
Want to test how distractions affect your driving ability? Join us on
April 9 and sit behind the wheel of a distracted driving simulator.* The simulator includes a touchscreen computer and steering wheel, which allows you to experience first hand the dangers of distracted and impaired driving.
*Thank you to our partners at Borgess for bringing their simulator to Allegan.
