Join the The Wilderness Society for a FREE presentation and discussion of the hidden impacts our public lands have on our changing climate.

Please RSVP your spot on the Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dont-be-in-the-dark-public-lands-contribution-to-climate-change-tickets-44335210809?

Our discussion will focus on The Wilderness Society's recent report "In the Dark" which highlights the massive fossil fuel portfolio managed by the U.S. federal government. This portfolio is so significant the associated emissions from the production of oil, gas and coal on federal lands and waters is equivalent to roughly 20% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. To put that in perspective, if U.S. public lands and waters were their own country they'd rank fifth in the world for GHG emissions just behind Russia.

We'll have light appetizers and pizza from Lucky Pie, water and iced tea. A cash bar of beer and wine will be available from purchase from Serendipity Coffee Bar. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited - please RSVP so that we can be sure to have enough food.
