STEEL BROTHERS BAND @ ALLIGATOR ALLEY SAT. APRIL 7!
Steel Brothers Band features two pedal steel guitar players steeped in the Sacred Steel style. Sacred Steel is a musical style and African-American gospel tradition that developed in a group of related Pentecostal churches in the 1930s.
Fast forward to current times and these players are branching out into other styles like funk, blues, rock and jazz. Gaining big followings on the jam band circuit artists like Robert Randolph Jr. and Roosevelt Collier, a Miami native, are the most commercially well know in the genre. But many younger players are coming up behind them including the Steel Brothers Band led by Durell Randolph (Robert's cousin). Don't miss this amazing show as these guys are on their way to bigger things with the recent release of their first album! Doors - 7pm. Showtime - 8pm.
