Cedric Jackson II recognized music's impact at a very young age, treasuring it as a gift. At only 5 years old, he stood and sung his first solo at his home church under the pastoral care of his father. Often also seen carrying a pair of drumsticks everywhere, and with nothing more than a beat, a melody, and a smile, his parents set him up for a promising future.
More than a decade later, nothing has changed. On his way to completing a degree in Professional Music, with concentrations in Songwriting and Music Therapy from world renowned institution Berklee College of Music, Cedric released his debut single entitled "We Run We Fall We Rise" in 2014, and followed up with the release of his debut music video for his new single "Dreams." In 2016, he released his debut EP, "Balance," to warm reception. Cedric's love for music is largely inspired by legends like Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and Ray Charles. Cedric's sound is influenced by artists like Bilal, Mali Music, and BJ The Chicago Kid. With lyrics often inspirationally driven, Cedric aims to bring together all areas of his background, Gospel, Classical, RnB, Hip Hop, and Jazz to cultivate his own interpretation of Soul music today.
