Overview

As organizations nowadays suffer from non synergistic teams, few of them have stopped to take a closer look at the big picture in an attempt to hack at the roots of the problem.

Our workshop depends on the Patrick Lencioni’s Model ‘ the Five Dysfunctions of a team’. Patrick Lencioni’s a Business Consultant and Guru, owner of the Table Group, dedicated to helping organizations become healthier and more successful.

Through overcoming the Five Dysfunctions, teams are likely to develop much better relations built on mutual trust, sharing of ideas, better communication and assertiveness commitment to decisions, self motivation, and thus every member will be focused on the results of the team, and feels and understands his contribution.



Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

o Recognize the importance of Trust in building Teams
o Recognize ways for building Trust among Team Members
o Recognize that Conflict is all about engaging in unfiltered, passionate debate around issues
o Define the 5 positions for Handling Conflict Effectively, and learning how to deal with each
o Learn how to separate between needs and wants
o Recognize characteristics of different communication behaviour
o Learn how to remain calm and confident during difficult situations
o Define Commitment, and realizing how to get Buy In from Team members on decisions
o Define Consensus and what it’s all about
o Explain Accountability on a strong team, and how to build it directly among peers





Workshop Contents



1- Building Trust within Teams:

· Learning the different types of trust among team members
· Learning the characteristics of team members who trust one another
· Learning the impact of lack of trust on the team and its members
· Learn techniques for building trust among team members



2- Mastering Conflict within Teams:

· Learning the different styles of conflict and the behaviours associated with each style
· Learning the impact of lack of conflict among team members
· Learning how to deal with conflict for maximum productivity
· Learning about the different levels of conflict
· Explaining the dimensions of conflict
· Learning how to assert our needs among team members
· Learning how to accept different points of view of other team members
· Recognizing the various communications with tone, body language, and words
· Learning the difference between: Aggressive, Assertive, and Passive Communications
· Recognizing the various Communication Styles



3- Achieving Commitments within Teams:

· Learning how to set SMART goals for motivation towards results and quality
· Recognizing the MASLOW hierarchy of needs, to understand that different people are motivated by different things.
· Understanding the difference between emotional acceptance and intellectual acceptance of a task
· Understanding the different steps required by team members to commit to a task or goal
· Learning what a thematic goal is and what is it’s characteristics
· Learning the impact of lack of commitment on the goals of the entire team and thus the whole organization



4- Embracing Accountability within Teams:
· Understanding the Responsible Mind Set
· Learning the concept of self empowerment to give oneself the necessary self motivation to overcome obstacles to achieve the agreed upon task or goal
· Learning how to exert peer to peer pressure to reach mutual goals
· Teaching team members how to influence each other positively to achieve tasks and team goals
· Learning the cycle of accountability
· Recognizing techniques for managing clear agreements about tasks and results
· Teaching team members how to own up for their results
· Teaching team members techniques for exchanging constructive feedback to feed into the accountability cycle



5- Focusing on Results within Teams:
· Teaching team members how to stay focused on results through the development of right priorities
· Learning the four different types of distractions
· Teaching Teams how to publicly clarify desired results and keep them visible
· Learning how to develop a Team Creed
