Come out to the Anacostia Arts Center for a night of spoken word, community, and supporting HIV prevention among women/womxn in the DMV! Children's National Medical Center, Mary's Center, and Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington have linked up with the Anacostia Art's Center to give you two hours of community vendors, HIV prevention, spoken word, and lots of swag!
Whether you live around the way or across the river, come out for an event to show your support for women/womxn in the DMV.
We are calling all new and seasoned poets to come out and share a spoken word.
Each poet will have 3 minutes. Individuals interested in performing can sign up at the event.
Tickets are FREE but you MUST get a ticket to reserve your spot. There will be limited tickets held at the door for anyone who is unable to get one on Eventbrite. These are on a first come first serve basis. One ticket per person.
If you are unable to get a ticket, we still invite you to come meet with our community vendors and enjoy the donation bar and food (for purchase) from Cooks and Kicks.
