The violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine State has led to a humanitarian crisis and over 650,000 Rohingya refugees have fled to neighboring Bangladesh. We are organising a benefit dinner and concert to raise awareness of the crisis.
América do Sol - A Latin american duo composed of bolivian flute player Flavia Huarachi and brazilian guitarist and composer Raphael Gimenes will perform at the event. Their inspiration comes from the roots of Latin america mixed together with the experiences that one lives through in new lands of the old continent.
All proceeds from this event go to AMURT (Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team) in Bangladesh. AMURT team is on the ground in Bangladesh providing emergency response, vaccination, HIV awareness, creating child-friendly spaces and temporary learning centers for the Rohingya refugees.
