Hmong Hemp Weaving Workshop
Hmong hemp textiles are used not only for everyday clothing, but also ceremonial attire and funeral rituals, and are richly imbued in their spiritual identity. Learn about the planting and harvesting of hemp, the laborious production process to create woven looms, as well as natural dye and batik designs. Enjoy a workshop that focuses on the first stages of hemp production, stripping the bark before crushing and joining the fibres. Discover the cultural significance of hemp weaving. View ancient techniques still used today and some of the finest antiques.

Red Dao Embroidery Workshop
The Red Dao are renowned for their traditional embroidered clothing, using silk thread and cotton fabric acquired from other local tribes. Learn about the multi-stage twisting process to make thread, and the unique needle work used to create a reversible design.
