Natural Sodas: Learn how to make fermented, probiotic tonics that are naturally bubbly and very yummy. Laura will take you through the process of starting ginger and turmeric "bugs" and also use a whey starter culture, which are the bubble-makers. This class is designed for beginners to learn about fermenting for sodas with natural yeast and probiotics. The menu includes probiotic honey lemonade, ginger beer, rhubarb vanilla soda, and turmeric tonic. You'll sample finished products, make some of our own, and walk away with final instructions and full bottles. Participants should bring 4 clean bottles with flip tops or tight screw tops, such as recycled kombucha bottles with screw tops.
