Dominican is hosting a series of TEDxMarin Salons, beginning Thursday, April 5, with “Why do Men and Boys Behave the Way They Do?” from 7-9 p.m. in Angelico Concert Hall.

The salon will examine research from the new book "The Boy Crisis." It reveals that boys (compared to girls) are falling behind all over the world in social development, math and science, why they are far more prone to violence, bad behavior and suicide.

Speakers include John Gray, author of more than 20 books, including the "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" series; Warren Farrell, author and speaker; and Ashanti Branch, an educator, activist, and speaker featured in the film "The Masks We Live In."

The event will be moderated by Barbara Nemko, Napa Superintendent of Schools. Dean Laura Stivers will introduce the speakers. Dominican has have been given a discount for anyone wanting to attend. Follow this link for more information and to register: https://bit.ly/2pII808
