Kitten season is here! To show our love for our kitten fosters, join us Sunday, April 22nd for a Kitten Shower. We'll have refreshments and fellowship from 2:30-3 p.m. APS Veterinarian Dr. Kay Bishop and her medical team will give an overview of the kitten foster program, and the different levels and commitments that are expected of our fosters. If you have thought of fostering kittens, this is the perfect opportunity to get to know APS staff, experienced kitten fosters, and determine what level of commitment you can make to the kittens of Durham.
In 2017 our kitten foster program was able to help over 200 kittens, and we hope to increase that number in 2018!
We are also in need of kitten foster supplies, and we'd love to fill up our "kitten corral" with donations at the shower. It takes a lot to care for kittens, and everything our kittens and fosters need can be found on our Amazon Wish List.
Small bags of non-clumping cat litter
Small bags of dry kitten food
Baby receiving blankets
Chicken or turkey baby food
Small animal igloos to help keep the kittens warm
Salad dressing shakers to help mix kitten formula
Puppy pads to line kitten crates
If you plan to attend, please RSVP via Eventbrite. If you are interested in becoming a kitten foster, please fill out the kitten foster application on our website.
