The Greenway offers a variety of hands-on interactive learning programs specifically designed to meet Girl Scout badge requirements.

March 31 – Use Resources Wisely – Daisy
Join us at the Nature Center for a fun filled morning of creation as we turn recycled objects into exciting and unique bird feeders! We will learn all about the Leave No Trace principals and why recycling is so important before heading out on a hike to talk about some of the different natural resources we have here at the Greenway and how we can help protect them! Each scout should bring two or three recyclable items such as juice cartons, toilet paper tubes, water bottles etc. We will provide decorations and any extra items needed. $15 per Girl Scout.

We will meet at the Greenway's Nature Center {2593 Lake Haigler Drive}. For more information on Girl Scout program opportunities or to schedule a field trip please contact Kelly Murphy, M.Ed., Education Specialist at kellymurphy@ascgreenway.org or 803-547-1083. Girl Scout webpage: bit.ly/2yYHxKb.
