#HelpAStranger On April 3 Dar Al-Hijrah Aims To Turn Hate into Hope
Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Northern Virginia calls on Muslims and people of all faiths to mark April 3 as Help a Stranger Day.
In response to the hate campaign started in the United Kingdom to harm Muslims on April 3, we, the Muslim community in Northern Virginia call on people of all faiths to endorse the Quranic teaching “repel evil with what is better” (41:34) and heed the call of Martin Luther King and others to turn hatred into hope and drive darkness out with light.
So on Tuesday, April 3rd we call on Muslims in the US and people of all faiths to dedicate an act of kindness and help a stranger.
Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center is located in Falls Church, VA. Established in 1983, Dar Al-Hijrah is the oldest Islamic Center in Northern Virginia and strives to serve our community through social services, civic engagement, and religious dialogue.
