Handstands, Inversions, and Arm Balances: Beyond the Basics
Join coach Biff “Handstands” Bifareti for this progressive workshop which focuses on proven techniques to develop your handstand and inversion skills. All levels are welcome; no handstand experience is necessary to attend.
We will be focusing on the essential elements of proper positioning while developing balance, strength, and mobility throughout your body. This workshop will include specific instructions, tips, and cues to advance your skills: Handstand/ headstand, frog stand/ crow, side/ one-legged crow, advanced frog stand/ tuck planche/ crane, and L-sit, will all be covered in detail.
You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the techniques necessary for handstands and more. We'll explore different variations including: tuck, straddle, stag, and the straight position. We will also review the optimal hand/shoulder placement, core strengthening/engagement, and leg/hip awareness necessary to progress your handstand and inversion skills.
Learn how to practice efficiently, fall/ bail safely, and eliminate any fears which may be holding back your progress. Have fun, save time, and get results!
Prerequisites: If you can hold a decent plank for 20 seconds you're good to go!
This all levels workshops will include progressive modifications for more advanced participants and beginner modifications for those with no previous Handstand/ Inversion experience!!

About Biff “Handstands” Bifareti

Biff has several years experience teaching bodyweight calisthenics exercise including inversions & handstands to beginners through advanced students in both one on one and group settings. He completed the ACE personal training certification in 2012, Action Personal Trainer certification in 2017, and has trained under the guidance of world-class hand balancing artists. Biff loves to share his knowledge of anatomy and bio-mechanics to help his students better understand their mind-body connection and achieve their fitness goals. In addition to handbalancing Biff enjoys reading, rock climbing, hiking, and dancing.
