Stamp Out Hunger

Get Directions

#var:page_name# cover

Each year, the National Association of Letter Carriers dedicates the 2nd Saturday of every May to serving communities nationwide by collecting food to be delivered to local hunger organizations. In Arlington County, all food collected by letter carriers will come here to AFAC!

We ask that residents put non-perishable food items into a grocery bag and leave them next to their mailbox by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Your letter carrier will pick up the items and deliver them to AFAC. If you live in an apartment building or have a communal mail box, please consider dropping it off at an Arlington post office instead. Bins will be placed in the lobbies of the post offices May 7 through May 12.

Typical items that we ask for on our food drives include:

Low sugar cereal
Low sodium canned tomato products (diced, paste, or sauce)
Low sodium canned tuna
Low sodium canned beans (any variety)
No glass, expired food, or personal items please!

Help us collect 30,000 lbs for this one day food drive!
