Eco Printing or “nature printing with steam” is a contemporary application of the traditions of natural dyeing. In this workshop plant materials and paper are combined with heat, water, and pressure to create unique prints that will reveal beautifully printed pages with unexpected colors and designs.
Instructor, Cindy Bartosek, is a fiber artist with a passion for photography. She studied, practiced, and exhibited photography for 20 years and now her photos serve as inspiration for her tapestry and weaving. Cindy has lived in Florida from the age of five and graduated from FSU with a BF in Home Economics and a M.S. in Nutrition. Teaching has been a life-long endeavor from sewing and cooking in 4H to teaching nutrition in her career in public health. Cindy says, “I spent 30 years nourishing people’s bodies and now I want to nourish their soul.”
