Two skilled and inspired musicians — 2 voices and a guitar—team up to perform songs from their latest albums Luna atrás and Halo bestia, as well as original songs and folk songs from Argentina and Latin America.
Nadia Szachniuk is a singer and performer with an extensive career in the fields of academic music and popular music of Argentinian and Latin-American origin who has explored and experimented with different styles within folklore, jazz, contemporary, baroque and world music.
Throughout her career as an independent artist, she has put out three albums: Vidala (2011), released under her project group Eva and Nadia along with Eva Sola and winner of the ‘’Best Album by an Up-and-Coming Folklore Artist’’ at the Premios Gardel [Annual Gardel Awards] in 2012,; Nonsense (2012), the first album by Nonsense Vocal Ensemble of Soloists; and her first solo album Luna atrás (2016), which was in the making for more than 15 years and is based on a recompilation of lullabies, texts, poetry and night-themed songs from different authors and origins.
Nacho Vidal is a self-taught singer, guitarist, composer, illustrator and graphic designer born in Buenos Aires in 1981. He was a member of the group Dos Elefantes along with her sister Popen Vidal, with whom he independently released the album Mundo raro in 2010. Now he is part of the group Serarrebol, which recently published their album Halo bestia (2017), which was regarded as the best album of the year by the Argentinian newspaper La Nación. Both albums include a list of self-composed songs.
