Learn to paint Modigliani style portraits with long necks, sloping shoulders, and eyes that show soul!
This Workshop is an all day event with a lunch break.
10:00-12:30 Hope will guide you through the process of sketching a face and begin undercoating the skin tones and background onto a prepped 10x20 canvas.
12:30-1:30 lunch break at a local eatery. We will break away for this hour away which helps refresh and gain better confidence for the second half.
1:30-4:00 Hope will guide you through the layering of color and development of the portraits personality.
Youll need to bring a photo of the person you are painting, preferably a photo with a front view of the face and shoulders.
Snacks, coffee, tea, water, aprons, and all the paints you’ll need are provided.
We use real artist paints. These paints are great for painting portraits but they stain clothes. Aprons help but accidents happen. Please wear something comfortable and painterly.
RSVP by April 15 please.
Seats available 6. We have room for more but I’m hoping to give you all elbow room, and plenty of space to create.
