WEEKEND WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP
Sunday, April 22nd from 12:30pm to 4:30pm
Instructor: Elizabeth Castle
Skill Level: Any, Ages: Adults + Kids Ages 12+
(This is not a multi-session class. Each date should be registered for separately.)
In this class students will learn how to apply watercolor techniques to create a standalone piece to take home with them. There will be several templates to choose from so that you can focus on the methods we'll be learning. (That said, if you are confident in your own drawing skills, you may bring a line drawing of your own if you wish!) Participants will also learn how to use the various brushes, how to control the flow of water and paint on paper, and color mixing/blending.
One 11x15” Pad of Canson or Strathmore Cold Press Watercolor Paper
Small Assortment of Watercolor Brushes (ideally a round or two, a flat/wash, and one to two finer detail brushes – student quality will suffice)
Daniel Smith Tube Watercolors (students are recommended to select five complimentary colors - your teacher suggests considering Paynes Gray, Cerulean Blue, Cadmium red, and Cadmium Yellow among them!)
One Watercolor Palette
***Please reference our class cancellation policy on our website.***
Please register as soon as you plan on attending. Classes that don't reach the minimum number of students required will be canceled 48 hours before the first day of class. Last minute registrations are accepted if class minimum is met and space allows.
