Fighting "THE DEADLY TIDE" Earth Day 2018 is part of an ongoing series of environmentally based art Installations by artist Francis ODonnell. Its focus is on the critical issue of Single Use Plastics poisoning our Planets Oceans, Rivers, Lakes, and Streams. The work is created in the hope that it will inform and inspire change in the way we as a society confront this problem
Hands-on children's Activities (Free!):
Bring the kids for Nature-Themed Printmaking (4th Street entrance), a Life-Sized Chalk Mural (Hull St entrance), and Recycled Plastic Bead-Making (Jane Sandelin Gallery). Also, we will have an art scavenger hunt throughout the art center. Pick up your clues, look for the art, and solve them all for a special prize!
Don't miss our Recycled Art Show in the All-Media Gallery, and the Curio Project, an assemblage show in our main, Jane Sandelin Gallery.
Our 75 artist studios will be open as normal, and some special vendors with handmade earthy wares will be set up in our main gallery for this fun event!
See you there!
