Scott has been a farrier for 6 years and is now an ATF. He is also studying for his BSc in Farrier and is just 2 weeks away from completing this.

Scott will be doing the following, he will also be using his pneumatic press which simulates a load on a leg.

The effects of loading on the equine limb

The day will consist of;
9:30 Welcome and intro into the day
9:45 How the hoof mechanism reacts under load and how it can be altered
11:15 Break
11:30 Limb loading and it’s internal effects
12:15 Lunch
1pm Application and troubleshooting with Arthur Cottams modern materials
2:15 onwards; Simulating load on cadaver limbs
