Intro To Poetry
Evolution of Poetry- Learn to initiate, develop and revise your own poetry to a completed form, for public viewing or performance.
The instructor will provide assistance with a step-by-step instruction using one of his love poems as an example. The student is welcom to bring works in progress, finished pieces or even just a concept of a poem to develop at a later time.
He will teach through his poetry
A) How to initiate a love poem; "Version 1",
B) How to tweak it slightly for "Version 2",
C) How to enhance the poem in "Version 3" and make it Universal
Once through these steps, we now have a Tribute to Our Ideal Love, Art Herself. The poem reaches a new level now; it becomes a more intellectual, as a richer work of Art.
About the instructor- The artists Tom Ferguson has been retired for 16 years as an avid poet, with a BA in English he has continued his journey as a poet for 42 years. He discovered that to become a great writer, it was all about hard work, revise and tighten. He says, "Whether or not my poems were 'good' was another matter, but at least I could get the words down on paper, and voila, a Poem!"
