I like to say I was born with a pencil in my hand – l’m sure my mother would disagree, but I like to say it. I was born and raised in the Bronx, in New York City in 1943. I went to the High School of Music and Art, in Manhattan (now the Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts). I went to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and studied interior and architectural design. I have spent my whole life in art and architecture: drawing, painting, sketching, designing, doing project illustration, and drafting(all by hand). It has been my life’s pleasure and my life’s work. Nearly every single day of my life I have had a pencil in my hand drawing one thing or another. I taught drawing and designing to architectural and interior design students at the Santa Fe Community College from 2002 through 2009. I am presently teaching drawing at Hobby Lobby on Saturday mornings from 10am to 12pm.
