From Japanese meaning “strange beast,” kaiju is a giant monster that usually attacks major cities and engages the military and other monsters or mechs in battle. At this month’s session of Kanji Klub, Ascension Parish Library’s anime club designed for adults, our theme is kaiju, and we’ll be watching Attack on Titan: Junior High while using watercolor and brush pens to create a Hokusai Wave work of art – with a twist!
Kanji Klub will be held on Monday, April 16 at 6 PM in Gonzales, and it is for adults ages 18 and up. Kanji Klub is dedicated to expanding creativity and cultural appreciation through anime and pop culture related crafting.
