This program is for sailors working towards their CANSail 5&6, who wish to sail double-handed boats (420s). Sailors will be exposed to higher-level boat handling skills through on-water drills and on-shore coaching sessions whilst attending various regattas, including CORK in Kingston (August 13-17), and Canadian Youth Championships in Toronto (August 28-September 1). Centered on the training camp atmosphere, sailors will refine advanced sailing skills and learn racing rules, tactics, strategy, and regatta preparation. This program operates Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm. There are 3 training periods available for these sailors: a spring session; running May 13 – June 24 (Sundays noon – 4:00pm), a July session; running July 2 – July 27, and an August session; running July 30 – Sept 1. It is recommended that sailors complete all 3 sessions, however 2 of the 3 sessions could be chosen. Sailors working towards Level 3 or 4 may also participate in this program subject to review prior review with the coach; please contact the sailing school for Level 3 or 4 participants.

Note: This program requires several weekends of travel and demands a high level of commitment from both sailors and their parents. Parents must chaperone when participants are away at regattas, and for parents who can assist with towing trailers reimbursement of towing expenses will be provided.
