Ashleyliane Dance Company is excited for a new season of providing training, mentoring, and artistic development for young dancers between the ages of 13 and 18. We invite all dancers to audition for an opportunity to be a part of this growing pre-professional program developed and managed by Ashley L. Tate and directed by Ashley Claybrook. The season for this group is during the months of June-August. You can still be a part of your home studio and be a part of this program.
Each year ADC brings together 8-20 selected young dancers from diverse communities and backgrounds for intensive dance training, collaboration and performances. We strive to offer a high level of personal development and training and to prepare young dancers for the demands of today's dance world. While the repertoire is heavily based in jazz, contemporary/modern, jazz funk, and hip hop...we plan to expand this season....the possibilities are endless!
During the last 10 summers, ADC's junior dancers have performed at Fair Saint Louis, St. Louis Dance Showcase at Edison Theatre, St. Louis Fringe Festival, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, First Night at Grand Center, Taste of St. Louis, RAW Artists: St. Louis, Dancewerks National Convention and Camp Kate in Chicago, among other events. Junior dancers have also been featured at The Pulse on Tour Dance Convention in Las Vegas and Fox 2 News in the Morning. They have also hosted their own annual show, held at the Mertz Dance Studio at Washington University in St. Louis, and the Sun Theater and Kranzberg Black Box in Grand Center.
